Meet Our Therapists
We understand that beginning therapy can be stressful. Finding the right therapist can sometimes be difficult. We are here to work with you, to ensure that you are comfortable with your therapist, with the therapeutic relationship, and with the treatment being offered.
We are a group of trauma-informed therapists who have come together to offer quality service.
We hope to offer therapy that fits with you; that doesn’t feel overwhelming in your life but brings relief and a feeling of progress.
As a practice, we work to ensure that your race, religion, and sexual orientation are not barriers to counselling. Our therapists uphold the values of non-judgement, quality service, and therapy created to promote your healing, in the ways that make sense for you.

Special Note: After almost 2 years of being part of the Maple Key Community, Kathy Nyman will be beginning a new chapter in her professional journey. As of September 1, 2026, she will be stepping away from her role as co-founder and clinic director of Maple Key Counselling & Psychotherapy and continuing her psychotherapy practice independently as Kathy Nyman Counselling & Psychotherapy. It has been a privilege for Kathy to help build Maple Key and to watch it grow in the practice it is today. She is deeply grateful for the many clients and colleagues who have been part of this chapter of her professional life. The practice will continue under the leadership of co-founder, Diane Galbraith, who will carry Maple Key forward. Kathy’s decision to move on reflects a desire to focus more fully on her clinical work and new areas of practice that are especially meaningful to her. She is incredibly grateful for her time at maple Key and looks forward to this new chapter.
